See you in another life when we are both cats!!!

Sit down for this...

All humour aside. All wittiness and sarcasm aside. All smiles aside. I have some sad news. I hate to spring it on you so suddenly but it had to be done this way. All good things come to an end a wise man once said. I couldn't agree more.

Nothingman*** ~Eu tambem sou um passarinho~ is finished.
Over.
This is officially the last post ever to see this website.
I'm sorry.

But...

It will be replaced by an all new, complately awesome, really really new website.
What could possibly succeed from the legacy left by Nothingman***?
Check out www.areyoucuriouz.blogspot.com and find out.

Till then. Love you all. Goodbye.

Kofi's Amazing Song of the month!

It's Kofi's Amazing Song of the Month time!!!!!!
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I only got back home on Monday evening and since I wasn't listening to MTV while down there, I had to do some serious listening this past week. It was nice coz there's been some good stuff happening especially stuff like "The Bravery - Unconditional" and Franz Ferdinands new track as well. But one song stood out in particular from a band who's name reminds me of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. What can I say other than, Kofi's Amazing Song of the Month is...drum roll...

Shout out Louds - The Comeback!

Woohooo! Listen to it! Why? Coz Kofi Zwana says so punk!

Guess who's back!!!!!

Yup, I'm back (YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Well, I had a really good holiday ay. I just kinda chilled and relaxed a while (something I'm not acustomed to) and in between my chilling time, I managed to see Busta Rhymes and Eve play a live show, a jazz festival and walk the sets of ETVs hot show "Scandal". Unfortunately, the camera with the photos on it is with my grandparents who are currently IN RUSSIA?!?!??!?!?!??! So when they get back, I'll have lots of lovely celebrity photos.

During the course of the 2 weeks, I managed to buy 4 new CDs: Interpol's Antics, Bloc Party's album, Jars of Clay's Redemption songs and Franz Ferdinands album (I know it's old but no one here has it and I really wanted it). Anyway, needless to say, all of them are amazing albums especially Bloc Party and Interpol. Contenders for album of the year? We'll wait and see.

If I can recommend anything to you guys...whenever you get the chance, go see Tom Cruise on the big screen. It really blows me away everytime. I went to see War of the Worlds which was actually better than I expected it to be...ou seja, it was really cool. Death, destruction and Tom Cruise. Sigh...if only I were gay (nobody read that).

School has started again. Dammit! On the bright side, it's my birthday in 9 days so that's awesome. And I might have a little surprise for you guys on that day. Curious Yet? Just wait and see...

I am sailing...

Yeah...just to let you guys know, I'll be away in South Africa for the next 2 weeks to visit my mom, work on the set of a couple of movies, have a look at my possible university and party hard. Joburg will not know what hit them. I'll be back soon with great stories and a new song of the month. I bet you're all waiting anxiously hey...not!

Kofi's Amazing Song of the month!

Yeah I know it's kinda late and we're already halfway through the month but I kept forgetting and then there was TV and all the rest. So anyway, picking this month's song was a bit tricky coz there were quite a few cool tracks but none of them absolutely stageringly amazing. Until I started listening to this one over and over and realised that it was in fact a very cool track. I originally didn't want to name it song of the month coz having Bloc Party win two months in a row is a bit suspect. But hey, if they're good...they're good. So for August, Kofi's amazing song of the month is:

Bloc Party - Pioneers

"If it can be broke then it can be fixed..." Good stuff ay. And as a little surprise...We have a consolation prize because this was the strangest song I've heard this month. So Kofi's Strange song of the month is:

Snow patrol - Crazy in Love

Yes...Beyoncé's song. You need to hear it to believe it. Listen to them. They are way cool.

Kofi's Amazing Song of the month!

So for the past couple of months, I've had this "Song of the month" thing going on here and I decided it was high time I shared my valuable opinion with you guys. A hint of the songs you missed are Audioslave's Be yourself, Queens of the Stone Age's Little sister and Coldplay's Speed of Sound. And Kofi's Amazing Song of the Month is (drum roll):

Bloc Party - This Modern Love

Gotta luv it. It's just so touching man. Reminds me of "procuro amor que seja bom pra mim..." Good times ay Julia.

Untitled #1

It's amazing how certain people can haunt you long after they're gone. Ghosts that somehow defy physics to be present in their absence. That call and laugh and cry to the melody of silence. That breathe with the wind and cry with the rain. And like schizophrenia, make you question what's real and what is not.
Conventional science may scoff, but ghosts are real. They hang around in people's smiles and certain songs and items of clothing. They leap out of photographs and walk in dreams. I know this because there's one in my bedroom right now, watching me as I write. I might entertain her for a while, sing to her a little. Then I'm going to have dinner and rejoin the world of the living and continue with my mundane life.

Exam week!!!

So this past week we've been having our mid year exams and it's been hell of a nasty. But none of you care do you...

Did I hear you say World Champions?

Well, for those of you who still think Zimbabwe is just a city in South Africa, here's some news.
Zimbabwe is officially the world champion in Debate. The championships were held over the pst couple of weeks and we beat off 417 teams to become champions. And one of the team member is in my class at school. How awesome is that.
So there! South Africa my foot.

Somebody Help Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's gotten really bad now. My hands constantly shake, I can't sleep at night and my mind is always wandering (sem rumo Julia) during the day. My friends are worried about me, my parents are scared for me. Everyone is concerned with what is going on. What is it that's making me a living wreck so that I can't even distinguish between reality and dreams anymore?
Simple.
I've missed 3 straight weeks of The OC!
I can't take it anymore. If I don't catch up soon, I'm gonna have a mental breakdown. Or even worse...buy Britney Spears' album!!
Luckily, I'm getting Season 2 on DVD on Tuesday so hopefully it won't ever come to that.
Sigh. Where would I be if it weren't for the OC...

7 Hours for a piece of plastic!!!!

You know, in a young man's life, there are many things that he has to go through in order to build his character and all that good stuff. For example, as many of you know, when I was 13 I went out into the bush and killed a lion. That made me feel pretty manly. I mean, how many of you have killed lions before. Sissies!
But just as I thought the road of tribulation was over for me, I went to face the:
SUPER CHALLENGE OF HEROES!
On Friday, we had a stay-away (that's normal in my country, so don't sweat it) so I went to the ministry of home affairs to get my ID (identidade).
Aqui, a gente só tira identidade quando fazemos 16 anos. Sei que tô com quase 18 anos mas eu tava com muito preguiça. A Julia sabe como sou.
Anyway, so I get there nice and early at 8am and join the queue. Note, the queue started inside the building and ended about 20m out the gate. And I stood...and stood...and stood...and stood...and stood...and stood...and stood...and stood...and stood...and stood...and stood.
I think you get the idea.
After 6 hours in the queue, I finally found a connection (uma pessoa que é o amigo de alguem) to help me out and half an hour late, I walked out with my nice new ID card.
Have you ever stood for 7 hours? Sissies!
The things I do to be a hero...
